We believe that every child deserves a new toy at Christmas. This year, with more families struggling financially, there is a chance that local children won’t have anything to open on Christmas morning or that families will run into significant debt in order to provide a ‘typical’ Christmas.
Therefore, Ashbourne Elim Church are launching a local toy drive to help families in need in Ashbourne and the surrounding areas. Families will be referred by professionals in the community who are aware of those who need this most but everyone can play their part.
We are collecting donations of new toys/gifts for children aged 2-18 years old but if you’re not sure what to give you can also give financially by clicking this link (all money given will go towards purchasing toys/gifts). If you are purchasing toys, please drop them off at Ashbourne Elim Church or Ashbourne Pavilion – we hope to announce further drop off locations soon.
Parents in the family will be invited to the ‘toy shop’ prior to Christmas so they may choose the gifts and take them home to wrap themselves. The deadline for donations is Wednesday 14th December.
If you have any questions about the toy drive or want to help in any specific ways, please contact Vanessa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
